Why do home loan modifications take so long to review?

I have a home loan modification with Bank of America under review for 1 year and 6 months now. I've been on a trial period since then. Up to this date, they have not given me any response as to getting approved or denied. I call at least twice a month and all they tell me is that is still under review and no other documents are being requested. I find this strange that they are not asking for more current financial information. Does anybody out there know why they can be taking so long and why are they not requesting updated documents?

I have a 14 year old step daughter that has some special needs. She looks like your average 14 year old girl and at times acts like one to but mentally she is about 8 years old. I am military and have been dealing with pain from two bulging discs in my lower back since Easter.?

First it started with a numb leg with sharp shooting pains and tingling and pain, then my foot started hurting when input pressure on it, the military sent me to a neurologist that said I have meragia prosthetica which is associated with obesity (I'm 110 lbs) pregnancy and diabetes which I don't have and sent mr for an MRI. MRI showed slight bulge in l4 l5 and l5 s1 which wasn't significant enough to do anything about. Since then it's gotten so much worse my back is killing me feels like a truck has ran over me. They next sent me to pain mngmnt which said he couldn't diagnose me and that I needed a full neurological work up so I went back to base and they out in a referral to a teaching hospital which needed two weeks to decide I'f they would even take me so then I went back to dr on base and found out they denied me, so now my dr on base says he don't know what to do that I need to find a neurologist and he'd out the federal in for me. I'm at my wits end and in extreme amount of pain they won't give me any meds since I had disc fusion in dec and have been on lortab since which don't work at all and I feel like the military isn't helping me. I can barely walk can't work lost my job over this can hardly make my bills and don't know what to do! Please help! What can I do next, I'm a military dependent and I don't know where else to go went to er twice and they won't do anything either just sent me away. I just need out of pain. Fairly sure I have Avoidant Personality Disorder - can I still be helped?

Unfortunately, when I read through the DSM-IV's diagnositc criteria for this disorder, every single one of them practically defines me. I've also researched a bit further into the matter, well outside of textbook definitions. I'll still talk to my psychiatrist to see if I'm right. The problem I'm having now is that this feels like a death sentence. Can I still be helped? Can I recover? Even if I don't have Avoidant PD, I still have very strong features of it, there is no denying that.

Family problems... that I have tried fixing, believe me, what do I do?

My mother is needy, lonely, and emotionally abusive. I think she has some sort of mental problem from getting emotionally abused most of her life (by her own mother) and from getting physically abused by two of her lovers. One of them was my father (they are divorced now and have been for about 8 years, but they were together for about 15 years) and the other one banged her head against a door jam and it may have done damage to her brain, the reason why he did this was because she told him that she thought he was cheating on her. It was quite obvious that he was though, because he dropped hints all the time and even I noticed it. The men that were physically abusive are long gone out of her life now though. The problem right now is, she is still talking to her emotionally abusive family. She almost has to because we are running out of money and she owes a lot to credit cards, and she's also trying to get her taxes done for my big sister's college tuition money so she can complete college and become a Biology teacher. The reason why she has to keep in touch with this abusive family is because her mother is dying from cancer, and she has put my mother on a trust. She is also giving most of the money to my mother's brothers, who are well on their feet and do not need the money like we do. My mother also can't get a job easily because she is older (54 years old) and we live in the country in the middle of nowhere and can't afford to drive far away to work. She is trying out this internet business thing, and she also just recently patented two inventions that may become very popular. The thing is, I will be going off to college in 2 years. I used to want to go to college in North Carolina or South Carolina. She wanted to come with me. But now I have made my final decision and want to go college in Masssachusetts. I have told her where I want to go and now she wants to follow me there too. But I don't want her to follow me, I want space. Because from getting abused most of her life, she is also abusive. And she also has a pretty bad Bipolar disorder, which she denies having and refuses to see a therapist or go on medication to help it. But she has been emotionally abusing me ever since my sister moved out to go to college. But when my sister was living here, it was her that she was emotionally abusing and buttering me up. But now it's the opposite. She favors my sister and acts like she misses her so much and acts like I'm a piece of ****. She has called me a ***** much more than I can count. Can one be a witness of Jehovah, but take no part in the Watchtower? I always hear non JWs saying "anyone who denies the Watchtower will be persecuted, or shunned" And, that's not true, that the WT is the "head" of the religion, it is the Bible, is it not? One doesn't have to listen to WT but if they listen to the bible..that's what matters, right? Does the Watchtower really serve any significant importance in the actual beliefs of Jehovah Witnesses? The girls name are all so typical. Paris and Amani are very unique. Amani is an African name and Paris seems very high class. I like the name Brenna, or Ella, Brennan. Aidan is an awesome name, but I feel like a lot of people are naming their son that nowadays. Parker is a cool name too. i'm a junior in high school, and this girl who i have trouble dealing with is a freshman (sabrina). she's been so rude and disrespectful ALL year, and we have one class together. when i'm up on stage acting, she has the nerves to throws insults at me and my performance when she can't even memorize a single line herself. whenever i approach her (like in a casual manner), she goes off at me with an attitude. and a couple of weeks ago, our class was in the auditorium. sabrina was sitting behind me. and soon after i hung my jacket up on my seat, she decided to place her feet on it (as if it was some resting spot). after waiting 20 minutes in aggravated silence, i turned around and kindly asked her to get her feet off my jacket. she refused. i asked her again, and she repeatedly refused. her boyfriend told me that i could just put my jacket on the seat next to me, and sabrina started telling me the same thing. i got so aggravated with her and her attitude, i gave her the finger. and she was like, "yeah, that's normal." she didn't dare take her feet off my jacket, not even once, and i had to YANK my jacket out from under her feet. i wanted to hit her, but at the same, i didn't want to cause a scene. she only does this to me (because to her, being a ***** to an upperclassman makes her look cool). and this girl doesn't even know me, and i don't know her.

Can I refuse a drug test with childrens protective services if I have already passed the other ones?

I was not suppose to take my daughter to my mom's house unless they passed their hair folicule test for meth. I knew my dad did but we were waiting on my mom's. My mom finally got hers yesterday and she told me she had passed and I believed her. Well my mom asked if I would drop my daughter off while I went to town so everyone could visit so I did. We were all getting along. When I got back from town my mom would not give her to me so I called the police. She had lied, she did not pass her hair folicule test. So because she was forced to give me back my daughter she is going to call my caseworker and tell her that I am on drugs,to come give me a drug test. I passed the first drug test and they know I'm not on drugs the even denied me a hair folicule because they said it was not nessecary. So if they come here to drug test me over my mom being crazy, could I refuse to take it? I don't have any problem taking a drug test but I think I have rights to refuse one because of heresay/revenge on me.

I completely agree with the previous commenter. It's pretty easy to restore factory settings though. Most systems have a key combination that you push to restore everything from a partition on the drive. Google the manufacturer to figure out the system restore combination (ie. Toshiba computers reset when you press the F8 key repeatedly during startup, Acer is ALT+F10 etc)

Why do Gays/Lesbians pay taxes?

It doesn't make sense to me? We are denied rights but taxes are still being taken out of our checks. Illegal immigrants seem to have more rights than we do.
