Question on the bible?

for a year I've been studying physics/science since I'm hoping it'll be my major. my brother has recently forced me to go to church with him & I started reading the first half of the bible. after all the stuff I've been studying at school, this is something that has giving me more questions than answers. he wants me to believe everything in that book but I find it rude to deny. what's your take on this belief?
