Has a crossed ever burned you?

I'm Wiccan and Ive held a cross in my hand and it has burned me. This has happened to my friends Kelsey and Sabrina who are also Wiccan/Pagan. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it like... normal? Well, as normal as it can get when being a Wiccan.
